Yeahhhhh! Just found out this morning, that one of the girls that I met at the Emirates interviews, also got a final interview for 6 September. I really hope she gets in. She's such a nice girl. We're trying to start at the same time, so we can do our training together. Still don't know whether it is possible. But we'll see.

I just wanted to add a picture of the animals that I have. So everyone knows why I keep going on about how I'll miss them.

This is Meraai, she was our pet meerkat, but she's not with us anymore, she's in meerkat heaven now!

Yip, Meraai is lying on top of my sisters boyfriend's Golden Retriever, Chuck. He has the ability to fall asleep and is uanble to wake up, even if a meerkat is lying on top of him!! They were so cute together.

Everybody says don't worry. But you still do. I've send my last medical reports on Friday. After I had to make a few changes. Now I'm just waiting for that final email that confirms that I will indeed be going to Dubai. The whole recruitment process is quiet stress full. Especially if you are like me. I put my all into something I do and when it doesn't work out, I'm devastated.

I saw my ex again today. He looked really good. Came to fetch some cheese that my Mom is selling. I thought it would be okay to post a picture of him. So you can just know why I'm so crazy about him. We had a cigarette together and everything felt as if it was still normal. He gave me a quick kiss and a hug and I just couldn't let go. I hug him so tight. It strange how things can change so quickly. A week ago we were still happy and suddenly it all just becomes too much and it falls apart.

Let me just fill in that we went for a movie and dinner on Friday night. I just had to see him again. Remember this isn't your average break-up. We still love each other and want to be together, but I'm going to Dubai and he got burned in the past, cause of long distance relationships. So I don't blame him and he understand that I need to go overseas before I settle down. It's just our luck, that we met so early on. We had so much fun at the movies. We went for dinner at Vasco's my favourite. I absolutely love their calamari steak. Nothing funny happened, we just held hands for a bit and talked about what the future is going to hold for the both of us. He's such an amazing person, he keep motivating me about going to Dubai, about all the places I'm going to go, people I'll meet, while he must be torn up inside. Life can be so unfair sometimes.

One of the girls that works with me, gave me still great receipe. Unfortunately it's in Afrikaans, so I'm not gonna try and translate it.

After being poked, proded and touched over my whole body; my medicals have been sent through. Just to receive an e-mail back, my chest x-ray is incomplete, they want more specific informations. The radiologist wasn't happy when I went back to the hospital. Oh well, I need the stupid report and he has to do it, whether he wants to or not.

I'm not in a very good mood today. I asked my ex on Tuesday night if he wanted to catch a movie with me on Friday. Considering we only separated because I'm going to Dubai and he has a phobia about long distance relationships. So what's the harm in trying to spend some more time together. But.... I stil haven't got a reply. Feel pretty stupid.

Well, thought I'd spoil you and show what I will look like in three months....

I don't really know what the uniform looked like before, but this doesn't look too bad. What am I suppose to do three months before I leave. Feels like i'm in limbo land...

Okay, okay! I'm a little bit behind in telling my whole story since I found out about Dubai. But there are so many blogs that give you more than enough information about what you need to do, take, get, etc. to go to Dubai, that I don't want to bore you.

Let's back pedal to 4 August 2008. I got my call from Dubai that I will shortly receive an email about the medicals that I need to complete. Congratulations!!!! You are one step closer to getting on a plane and becoming a stewardess for Emirates.

Considering that my current job knows absolutely nothing about my plans to go overseas, I sat all smiles in my office, trying not to shout that my dream is almost coming true!!
